A Dentists For Akbuk
The start of November saw the opening of a dental practice in Akbuk.
Dentist Erhan ÜLTAN, who is from Izmir, opened his new practice on the main road in Akbuk town opposite the Dia supermarket and next to the Belediyesi.
The smart new clinic has a reception area on the ground floor and surgery etc on the first floor.
English is no problem and a friendly welcome is assured.

"Enough Now"
That was the message Turna, a 16 year old girl, apparently wrote on the window in her bedroom in Akbuk before shooting herself with her fathers gun.
On Sunday 8th November this young teenage girl sadly decided to end it all. She was rushed to Didim State Hospital by relatives who were in the house at the time but regrettably died of her injuries.
Investigations are proceeding.
Kurban Bayrami
This year Kurban Bayram (Festival of Sacrifice) is November 27, 28, 29 & 30. Most Banks, Schools and Government offices will be closed from noon 26th.
If you not have been in Turkey during Kurban Baram before, don't be surprised to see Sheep, Rams or Calfs killed and hung in peoples gardens.
PTT Moved
Akbuk post office (PTT) has now moved to new premises. The new office is directly opposite the Belediye, it is well signed and clearly noticeable.
