Day 6
We woke to rain this morning and as we were going to move on East this was no problem.
We started driving along open roads high ın the hills and through mountain ranges, we did have some snow showers along the way, but no problems.
Our first stop was at ORTAHİSAR to visit a castle cut into the rock face and then onto AVANUS to see a CARRAVANESAI, these are stops along the Silk Road as was were the camel trains could stop for 3 nights without paying any money for food and care of the animals. All along our route these buildings are being preserved so that soon many of them will be available to visit.
From here we traveled on East via KAYSERİ, MALATYA , ELAZIG and then to ERZURUM.
Here the temperatures dropped to -2C so ıt was quickly to bed to keep warm after a very long day ın the car, 800 km.
